Method of study: 

Textbook study. Written assignments based on the set textbook. Assignment questions are issued by email and students return their written work by email. Grades and feedback are issued by email.

Course overview:

Hypnosis is a consciousness-altering tool.  It allows us to enhance our imagination, overcome mental blocks and program our minds for positive change and self-healing.  The professional use of hypnosis for life enhancement is called hypnotherapy.

Secular-minded health professionals and hypnotherapists have tried to hijack hypnotherapy as purely a medical tool claiming that it has no connection with our spiritual or mystical side, because they are afraid of being ridiculed.  However, such a limitation is as absurd as arguing that the human mind is incapable of appreciating beauty or having spiritual experiences. Since its beginnings, hypnosis has been used to enhance altered states of consciousness leading to psychic and mystical awareness. It is time to reclaim that heritage.

Since mystical experience is a life-enhancing one, and hypnotherapy is a life-enhancement tool, spiritual and mystical hypnosis or hypnotherapy ought to be acknowledged as a distinct branch of hypnotherapy.  Transpersonal hypnotherapy covers a wide range of spiritual techniques including past life regression.  Mystical hypnosis is a specialization within transpersonal hypnotherapy, that can be used by hypnotherapists or that can also be used as self-hypnosis for spiritual exploration.

The course explains the nature of hypnosis, the conscious and unconscious mind, how to induce a hypnotic trance, and how to use hypnosis to access mystical states of consciousness such as Cosmic Consciousness, Immersion in Light, Awareness of Perfection, Universal Love and Cosmic Unity.  “Enlightenment” is another term used to describe such states. 

The practie of entering such states can be greatly beneficial, leading to a calm and healthy life and a well-balanced mind. Information is also given about the philosophy of suffering and how to overcome it, and detailed scripts are given that can be recorded for self-hypnosis use or used as examples on which you can base scripts of your own. Using these methods, it is not necessary to spend years in meditation to achieve mystical consciousness.  Transformation of consciousness is now achievable by anyone who can enter a self-hypnotic trance.

Study will be carried out by reading the textbook, performing required self-hypnosis exercises/ meditations  and submitting written assignments – these can be sent by e-mail.  There is no minimum study time and the student may complete the course by submitting all coursework to satisfactory standard.

Feedback will be given by the tutor (who is qualified in hypnotherapy and past life regression therapy) and all material submitted will be treated in strictest confidence.

Students do not need to be qualified hypnotherapists to take this course. This course is not a practitioner qualification in hypnotherapy.  It can be used for self-development or as a professional development course for hypnotherapists, New Age therapists, etc.

Qualification

Successful graduates will receive the Diploma in Mystical Hypnosis awarded by UK College of Holistic Training which is a private UK qualification.

The college is accredited by the International Association for Distance Learning.
